Professor Rakesh Mohan Joshi is the Director of the Indian Institute of Plantation Management in Bangalore (IIPMB). He has been the Professor IIFT, New Delhi since 2000. He is a highly respected scholar, a prominent author, and a distinguished expert in the field of management, boasting significant international experience.
Professor Joshi is the author of highly popular books from Oxford University Press and has been the Editor of the prestigious quarterly journal of IIFT, known as the Foreign Trade Review.
He has been honored with international awards from the London Business School for his case studies, which were published globally by the European Case Clearing House (ECCH), an initiative of the London Business School.
Prof. Joshi has extensive trans- national exposure and has been associated with several multilateral organizations, such as the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank.
He is also a Member, Council of Management, All India Management Association (AIMA) for 2016-18. He had also been at the Board of Management, Rajasthan Technical University (RTU), Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) and Board of Governors, Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM), Ministry of Environment and Forests, besides some other universities. Prof. Joshi is has been the Member, Search Committee (2015) for the position of Vice Chancellor in a well-established State University besides served in several Selection Committees as an Subject Expert including positions of Executive Director in MMTC and Chief General Managers in STC, besides several other top ranking confidential assignments. He has a consistently meritorious academic background and was awarded the prestigious Gold Medal by Indian Institute of Foreign Trade. He received his education and training from Harvard Business School, Boston; IIFT; Rajasthan University and National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal. He has been awarded various scholarships right from his school days to Post Graduation. He has been the recipient of International Awards by London Business School, London for the case studies written that were internationally published by European Case Clearing House (ECCH), London Business School and Oxford that also contributed to international recognition and media publicity besides being used for training administrative officers and diplomats not only in India but also in other parts of the world.
